What We Do

The team will review toxic release data and determine communities that may be impacted by toxic releases. Once a community is selected for investigation the Test Team will be deployed to conduct selective sample testing. This testing is designed to help understand levels of contamination and pathways of distribution. Once the test data is collected, environmental specialists will evaluate to determine if conclusions can be drawn. If conclusions are made, these findings may be reported to governmental agencies and other third parties.

Our Projects

  • Florida Radiation Investigation

The Genetic Justice Team is performing a scientific investigation to promote better understanding of the environmental radiation contamination that has occurred as a result of phosphate mining in Florida.

  • Free Radiation Testing

At The Genetic Justice Team, we rely on advanced technology to determine toxic impact. Our teams conduct free environmental testing for select communities. Through these testing efforts, we hope to better determine if toxic substances exist within a community.

  • The Risks of Phosphate Mining Waste

Phosphate mining produces radioactive waste and byproduct. Radiation exposure from mining activities presents a risk to the environment and to the people exposed. Learn more about the damaging effects of radiation below.

The Genetic Justice Team

We are committed to finding out how communities and families are affected by corporations and industrial practices, across the U.S.
